Digital Menu Templates for Your QR Code Menu

Start from one of five digital menu templates and make it yours in minutes. Change the layout, colors, fonts and corners, add your logo and cover photo, and watch every change on a phone preview before you save – no designer needed.

  • 5 themes: Classic, Cards, Gourmet, Bistro and Night
  • Layout, colors, 7 font families, corners and currency format
  • Live phone preview before anything goes public

Five digital menu templates, ready on day one

Each theme is a complete starting point with its own layout, colors and typography. Pick the one closest to your venue and adjust from there.

Classic

A white background and a clean list with small photos beside each dish. It suits almost any venue, from a neighbourhood kitchen to a hotel restaurant.

Cards

Two-column photo cards with rounded corners. Made for cafés, fast food and long menus where pictures do the selling.

Gourmet

Full-width photos in a magazine layout with serif headings. For restaurants whose dishes deserve to be seen large.

Bistro

No photos – elegant print-style typography with dotted lines between dish and price, like a classic printed carte.

Night

A dark background with a bright accent color and condensed type. For bars, lounges and cocktail menus in low light.

The five themes at a glance

These are the starting settings. Every one of them can be changed in the design editor.

How to design your menu

  1. Choose a theme

Open the design screen of your menu and pick one of the five themes. Your dishes, prices and translations stay exactly as they are.

  2. Adjust it to your brand

Change colors, fonts, layout and corners, add your logo and cover image, and decide which details each dish card shows.

  3. Check the phone preview and save

Every change appears on a phone-sized preview next to the settings. Open the full-screen preview for a closer look, then save – guests see the new design at their next scan.

Everything you can customize

Themes are starting points, not cages. These settings work in every theme:

Layout

Show dishes as a list with thumbnails, a two-column grid of cards, a magazine with large photos or text only.

Navigation style

Category chips that stay at the top while guests scroll, or tabs for a calmer, print-like look.

Colors

A light or dark scheme plus your own accent, background, card and text colors. Buttons automatically get a readable text color on your accent.

Fonts

Seven font families – modern sans, rounded, humanist, condensed, classic serif, elegant and typewriter – chosen separately for headings and body text. They use fonts already on the guest's phone, so no font files are downloaded from a third party.

Corners

From sharp, square corners to soft, rounded cards with a single slider.

Currency format

Put the currency symbol before or after the price, and hide “.00” on whole prices for a cleaner look.

What each dish shows

Switch images, descriptions, allergen icons and calories on or off, and decide whether the cover image appears at the top of the menu.

Logo and cover image

Upload your logo for the menu header and a cover photo of your venue or signature dish. Photos are converted to the compact WebP format automatically.

A live phone preview before you save

Most guests will see your menu on a phone, so that is how you design it. The design screen shows a phone-sized preview beside the settings, and it redraws as you change a color, a font or the layout. Nothing reaches your guests until you press save.

Not sure between two themes? Switch back and forth in the preview with your real dishes, your real photos and your own prices. The difference between Cards and Gourmet is much easier to judge with your own food than with a stock photo.

Menu themes that work with the rest of your menu

A theme only changes how your QR code menu looks. Dishes, variants, prices, allergens, service hours and translations are shared by every theme, so you can change the design for a new season without touching the content – and without reprinting a single table QR code.

All themes follow the same mobile rules: large tap targets, readable body text, compressed photos that load as guests scroll, and no app to install. They also support right-to-left languages such as Arabic, and the guest interface comes in seven languages. See the multilingual menu page for details.

Themes display the same dish details everywhere, including the icons of your allergen menu. Only Bistro hides allergen icons by default, and one switch shows them again.

Design tips for a menu guests can read

  • Keep contrast high

Dark text on a light background, or light on dark. Pale grey on white looks elegant on a monitor and disappears in a dim room.

  • Use one accent color

Take it from your logo or sign and let it mark buttons and active categories. More colors compete for attention.

  • Choose photos you can keep consistent

Grid and magazine layouts need a photo for most dishes. If you only have a few good ones, the list or text layout looks tidier.

  • Match the theme to the lighting

A dark theme like Night is easier on the eyes in a bar at night; a light theme reads better on a sunny terrace.

  • Test in your own venue

Scan the QR code at a real table, at the real brightness, on your own phone before you print the codes. Match the code to your brand with a QR code with logo.

Frequently asked questions

What is a digital menu template?

A ready-made design for your online menu: layout, colors and fonts are set up, and you only add your dishes. In Qdestera Menu the templates are called themes, and each one can be customized.

How many menu themes are there?

Five: Classic, Cards, Gourmet, Bistro and Night. Each can be adjusted in layout, navigation, colors, fonts, corners and currency format.

Can I use my brand colors and logo?

Yes. Set your own accent, background, card and text colors, upload your logo for the menu header and add a cover image.

Can I change the theme later?

Yes, at any time. Your dishes, prices and translations stay the same, and the printed QR codes keep working.

Can I upload my own font?

No. You choose from seven font families for headings and body text. They use fonts built into guests' phones, which keeps the menu fast.

Do the themes work for Arabic menus?

Yes. Every theme supports right-to-left languages such as Arabic, Persian, Hebrew and Urdu.

Can I see the design before guests do?

Yes. A live phone preview updates as you change settings, and nothing is published until you save.

Do I need a designer?

No. Pick a theme, add your colors and logo and check the preview. Most of the work is choosing, not designing.
