1. The service
Qdestera lets you create static and dynamic QR codes, short links and digital menus, host content such as files, pages and menus behind them, and see how they are scanned. The features available to you depend on your plan.
The company that operates Qdestera (“we”, “us”) provides the service. Its legal name, address and contact details will be published on this page before launch.
The free generator on our website works without an account. Static QR codes you download from it contain your data directly, so they keep working without us.
2. Accounts and workspaces
- You must give accurate information and be old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live. If you use Qdestera for a business, you confirm that you may act on its behalf.
- You can sign in with email and password, Microsoft or Google. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for activity in your account.
- Content, plans and billing belong to a workspace. The workspace owner decides who joins and which role they get (Owner, Admin, Editor or Viewer), and is responsible for the members’ use of the workspace.
- Tell us straight away if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
3. Acceptable use
QR codes and short links are trusted by the people who scan them. You must not use Qdestera to break that trust.
We may disable QR codes, short links or content that break these rules or that we reasonably believe put people at risk, and we may suspend or close accounts involved. Where it is appropriate and safe, we will tell you why. You can report abuse through our contact page.
- No phishing, fraud or impersonation, and no links or files that spread malware or unwanted software.
- No illegal content, and no content that infringes other people’s rights, such as copyright, trademarks or privacy.
- No spam, and no hiding the real destination of a link to mislead people.
- No attempts to break, overload or get around the security, limits or workspace separation of the service.
- If your QR codes, menus or links collect personal data from the people who scan them, you must have a valid legal basis and give them the information the law requires.
4. Plans and billing
Free plan and trial
Every new workspace starts on a free plan, without a credit card. You can start an optional trial of a paid plan once per workspace; its length and features are shown before you start it.
Paid plans and add-ons
Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly. Add-on packages, such as the digital menu, can be added to a plan. Current prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, where they apply.
Payment through Paddle
Checkout, payment and invoicing are handled by Paddle, which sells paid plans as our reseller. Paddle’s own terms also apply to the purchase. We do not receive or store your card details.
Plan limits
Each plan has limits, for example on the number of QR codes, custom domains, team members or API requests, and a plan can restrict which QR types you can create. The limits of your plan are shown in the app.
Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them. Refunds and the effect of cancellation follow the terms shown at checkout.
When a plan ends or you downgrade
If a trial or paid plan ends, or you move to a smaller plan, content above the new plan’s limits may be paused. Paused dynamic QR codes and short links stop redirecting until you reactivate them within your limits, for example after upgrading. Static QR codes keep working because they do not depend on our service.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you upload or create, such as files, images, texts, menus and QR code designs.
You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, process and display that content only as needed to run the service for you – for example to show your hosted pages and menus to the people who scan your codes, to convert images to web-friendly formats, and to make backups. If you use automatic menu translation, you also allow us to send the menu text to our translation provider.
You confirm that you have the rights needed for the content you publish through Qdestera.
6. Personal data
Our privacy policy explains how we process personal data. For scan data and menu guest actions, you (the workspace owner) decide why the data is collected and we process it on your behalf.
7. API use
- API access uses API keys with scopes. Keep your keys secret and revoke any key that may have leaked; requests made with your keys count as your requests.
- The API has per-plan rate limits. Requests above the limit may be rejected or slowed down.
- Do not use the API to get around plan limits or these terms. We may disable keys that are misused or that put the service at risk.
8. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Qdestera available and reliable, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. Maintenance, updates or events outside our control may interrupt it.
We may improve, change or remove features over time. If a change significantly reduces a paid feature you use, we will tell you in advance where reasonably possible.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Qdestera at any time and delete your workspace. When a workspace is permanently deleted, its QR codes, short links, menus, files and scan data are deleted, and its dynamic QR codes and short links stop working.
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it.
10. Liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights consumers have under mandatory consumer protection law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and tell account owners about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using Qdestera after that, the updated terms apply.
12. Governing law and contact
The governing law and the place of jurisdiction for these terms are to be specified before launch.
The service provider’s contact details will be published on this page before launch. Until then, you can reach us through our contact page.
