  • Logo in the center with a white backing, placed for you
  • Colors, gradients, 8 module styles and custom eye shapes
  • 5 frame styles with your own text, such as “SCAN ME”

How to make a QR code with your logo

Start in the generator above for colors and shapes, then use a free account for the logo and frame.

  1. Enter your link

Paste the website, menu or page you want people to open. In your account you can pick any of the 24 QR types instead.

  2. Choose colors and shapes

Set the foreground and background colors, a module style and the eye style. In your account you can also add a linear or radial gradient and give the eyes their own color.

  3. Add your logo and a frame

Upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP logo, or reuse the logo saved for your workspace. Pick one of five frames and write your call to action.

  4. Test and download

Scan the preview with your phone, then download PNG, SVG, JPG or PDF for web and print.

Everything you need for a custom QR code design

Each option is built to stay within what phone cameras can read, so you can be creative without guessing.

Your logo in the center

Upload a logo or use your workspace logo. We place it in the middle of the code, size it automatically and put a white rounded backing behind it so the logo stays clear of the pattern.

  • PNG, JPEG or WebP files
  • Error correction raised to the highest level automatically
  • Workspace logo reused across codes

Brand colors and gradients

Match your brand with any foreground and background color. For a softer look, blend two colors with a linear or radial gradient, and give the three corner eyes a color of their own.

  • Linear or radial gradient
  • Separate eye colors
  • Keep the code darker than the background

Module styles, eye shapes and frames

Choose from 8 module styles – square, dots, rounded, classy rounded, diamond, star, vertical and horizontal lines – and combine square, rounded, circle or leaf eye shapes. Finish with one of 5 frames: text below or above, a badge below or above, or a plain border.

  • Outer ring and inner dot styled separately
  • Frame text such as “SCAN ME” or “Menu”
  • Download PNG, SVG, JPG or PDF

Why a logo does not break your QR code

Every QR code contains error correction: extra data that lets a phone rebuild the content even when part of the pattern is missing, dirty or covered. A logo in the middle simply uses that reserve on purpose.

When you add a logo, Qdestera switches the code to the highest error correction level for you and keeps the logo at a size the code can absorb. The white backing separates the logo from the modules around it, so the camera does not mistake the edges of your logo for data.

Higher error correction adds more modules, which makes the pattern denser. That is one reason a dynamic QR code pairs well with a logo: it only encodes a short link, so the pattern stays simple even with a long destination address.

QR code design tips that keep every code scannable

A beautiful code that nobody can scan is just decoration. Check these before you print.

  • Strong contrast, dark on light

Keep the pattern clearly darker than the background. Pale yellow on white or dark gray on black fails on many phones, and inverted codes (light on dark) are not read by every scanner.

  • Leave a quiet zone

Keep an empty margin around the code, ideally about four modules wide. Do not let text, borders or photos touch the pattern.

  • Keep the logo modest

A simple, high-contrast logo reads better than a detailed photo. Our automatic sizing keeps it in a safe range, so avoid adding a second logo on top in your design tool.

  • Be careful with gradients

Both ends of a gradient must stay dark enough against the background. Test the lightest part of the code, not the darkest.

  • Print it big enough

Denser codes need more space. Use the print size calculator to match the size to the scanning distance.

  • Test on real phones

Scan the final file with an iPhone and an Android phone, in normal light, before you order a print run.

Where a branded QR code makes a difference

People scan codes they trust. A logo and your colors show who is behind the code before anyone opens it.

Packaging and labels

A code in your brand colors looks like part of the design rather than an afterthought.

Restaurant tables

A framed “Menu” code on each table helps guests find the QR code menu quickly.

Business cards

Add your logo to a vCard QR code so the contact card looks as polished as the rest.

Posters and ads

A clear frame with a call to action tells passers-by exactly why they should scan.

Which file format should you download?

Every design can be downloaded in four formats. Pick the one that fits where the code will end up.

PNG for screens and quick printing

A universal image that works in websites, presentations, emails and office printers. Choose a large size if you plan to scale it up later.

SVG for designers and large prints

A vector format that design tools and print shops like to work with. It is the best starting point for posters, signs and packaging artwork.

JPG for tools that expect photos

Some online shops, social tools and older software only accept JPG. The code sits on a solid background, so compression does not blur the pattern.

PDF for print-ready files

Send a PDF straight to a printer or attach it to a print order. The code and its frame arrive together in one file.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Still have a question? Read our guides or contact us .

How do I put a logo in a QR code?

Create a free account, open the design step of your QR code and upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP logo, or use your workspace logo. We center it, add a white backing and raise error correction automatically.

Will my QR code still work with a logo?

Yes, as long as the rest of the design keeps good contrast and a quiet zone. The code uses the highest error correction level when a logo is added, which leaves room for the covered area.

Is the QR code generator with logo free?

Colors, module styles and eye styles are free without an account. Logos, frames and gradients are available with an account, and the free plan needs no credit card.

Which logo file formats can I upload?

PNG, JPEG and WebP. A logo with a simple shape and strong contrast gives the best result.

Can I change the colors of a QR code?

Yes. Choose any foreground and background color, add a linear or radial gradient and give the corner eyes their own color. Keep the code darker than the background.

Can I add “Scan me” text around the code?

Yes. Pick one of five frame styles – text above or below, a badge above or below, or a plain border – and write your own text.

Which file format should I use for print?

Download SVG or PDF for printers and design tools, and PNG or JPG for websites, emails and office documents.

Does the QR code have a watermark?

No. Codes from the free generator and from your account are downloaded without a watermark.

Can I change the design after printing?

The printed image cannot change, so a new design means printing again. With a dynamic QR code you can still change where the printed code leads.
