Turn a quick-start leaflet into a how-to video for assembly, setup or care – right on the box where the question comes up.
A video QR code plays your YouTube or Vimeo video on a clean mobile page, with a short description underneath. Paste a link, print the code, and point it to a new video whenever you publish one.
Your video stays on YouTube or Vimeo; Qdestera wraps it in a page that is made for phones. All you need is a free account and the video's link.
Open the video on YouTube or Vimeo and copy its address: a youtube.com/watch or youtu.be link, or a vimeo.com link that ends in the video number.
Choose Video as the QR type, paste the link and add a title and a description – instructions, ingredients, a thank-you note or whatever the viewer needs next.
Give the hosted page your colors, fonts, logo and link buttons. Then style the code itself with colors, a frame and your logo in the center.
Export PNG or JPG for screens and quick prints, SVG or PDF for packaging and large formats, and test it on two phones before the print run.
Qdestera does not store video files. A video QR code embeds a video you have already published on YouTube or Vimeo.
Video platforms are built for streaming. They adjust the quality to each viewer's connection, play on practically every phone and do not eat into your Qdestera storage. Embedding gives your viewers that smooth playback, while the QR code, the page around the video and the scan statistics stay under your control.
Is your clip not online yet? Upload it to YouTube as a public or unlisted video, or to Vimeo, then paste the link. For a single still picture an image QR code is the better fit, and for sound alone an MP3 QR code plays an audio file you upload.
Whenever a moving picture explains faster than a paragraph, a code on the printed item brings it within reach.

Let a magazine ad, a poster or a shelf sign play your campaign film instead of a still frame.
Put a walk-through video on the sign or the brochure. Our real estate page shows more ideas for listings.
Print codes on worksheets, lab posters or training handouts that open a demonstration video.
Show a speaker trailer or last year's highlights on tickets, badges and programs.
Hide a video greeting inside a card or on a gift tag. Unlisted YouTube videos work, so the message stays between you and the recipient's link.
Both start a video. The difference shows when you want to change it, explain it or measure it.

Because every video code is a dynamic QR code, the video is a setting in your dashboard, not part of the print. Publish a new version of your tutorial, replace last season's trailer or move from YouTube to Vimeo – edit the link once and every printed copy follows.
Scans show up in QR code analytics: per day, weekday and month, by country and city and by operating system. Put them next to your YouTube or Vimeo statistics and you see how much of your audience arrives from print.
YouTube videos are embedded through youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so a scan does not turn into a full YouTube tracking session before anyone presses play.
Set a code to inactive between campaigns, archive it when you are done and bring it back later with a new video.
Public and unlisted YouTube videos can be embedded; private ones cannot. On Vimeo, the video's privacy settings must allow embedding too.
People scan while standing in a shop or holding a box. Get to the point in the first seconds.
Many viewers start videos muted in public. Captions or on-screen text keep the message clear.
Add the next step under the video: a product code, a shop link button or a support contact.
A line such as “Scan to watch the setup video” tells people what to expect and why it is worth a scan.
Scan the proof away from Wi-Fi to feel what a customer in the aisle will experience.
Paste a YouTube or Vimeo link, add a description and print a code you can re-point any time.
Publish the video on YouTube or Vimeo, copy its link, sign up for free and create a Video QR code with that link. Scanning the code plays the video on a mobile page with your description.
No. Qdestera does not host video files. Upload the video to YouTube or Vimeo, public or unlisted, and paste the link – the QR code plays it in an embedded player.
YouTube links in the youtube.com/watch?v=… or youtu.be/… form, and Vimeo links in the vimeo.com/ plus video number form. Links to other video sites are not accepted.
Use the video's standard watch address: replace “/shorts/” in the link with “/watch?v=” and paste that. The Short then plays in the embedded player.
Yes. Paste a new link in your dashboard and every printed copy of the code plays the new video from the next scan.
No. The video plays in the phone's browser on the page the code opens, so no app download is needed.
Unlisted YouTube videos work, because anyone with the link may watch them. Private videos cannot be embedded, so viewers would see an error instead.
You can create one on the free plan without a credit card. The number of dynamic codes and the QR types included depend on the plan – see pricing.
Yes. Each scan is counted and shown over time, by country and city and by operating system. Play counts stay in your YouTube or Vimeo statistics.
Create a video QR code, swap the video whenever you publish a new one and see where your viewers scan.
